Disney Channel will begin production later this summer on “Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam,” the sequel to the hit Disney Channel Original Movie “Camp Rock,” with Demi Lovato, Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas reprising their starring roles. Joining the cast are Matthew “Mdot” Finley and Chloe Bridges. Also returning to the sequel’s cast are Meaghan Martin, Alyson Stoner, Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, Roshon Fegan, Daniel Fathers and Maria Canals-Barrera. “Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam” is scheduled to premiere in 2010 on Disney Channel.

The sequel’s storyline follows Mitchie, Shane, Jason, Nate and their friends as they return to Camp Rock for another great summer of music and fun. However they soon learn that a new state-of-the-art music/performance camp, Camp Star, has opened across the lake and has lured away many of Camp Rock instructors and campers — putting the future of Camp Rock in jeopardy.
And when Camp Star’s hotshot performer, Luke Williams, challenges Camp Rock to a musical showdown to see which camp really has the stronger musical talent, everyone prepares for the ultimate battle of the bands. Meanwhile, in a classic “Romeo and Juliet” twist, Nate falls for the daughter of the owner of the rival camp.

Returning are Demi Lovato as Mitchie Torres; Joe Jonas as Shane Gray; Kevin Jonas as Jason; Nick Jonas as Nate; Meaghan Martin as Tess Tyler; Alyson Stoner as Caitlyn Geller; Anna Maria Perez de Tagle as Ella; Roshon Fegan as Sander; Daniel Fathers as Brown; and Maria Canals-Barrera as Connie Torres.

The movie’s soundtrack will feature a mix of pop, rock, R&B and hip-hop songs written by songwriters Mitch Allan, Adam Anders, Lyrica Anderson, Antonina Armato, Aris Aronchitis, Peer Astrom, Kara DioGuardi, Andy Dodd, Toby Gad, Nikki Hassman, Jamie Houston, Tim James, Jeannie Lurie, Chen Neeman, Kovasciar Nyvette, Steve Rushton, Dapo Torimiro and Adam Watts.

Joining the cast are Matthew “Mdot” Finley as Luke Williams. Mdot is an accomplished R&B musician who has performed as the opening act for Ciara, Yung Joe, Dem Franchise Boyz, Lil’ Romeo and Mos Def, and was named Best R&B Male at the Urban Threshold Music Awards in 2006.

Chloe Bridges joins in the role of Dana Turner, daughter of the rival camp owner. Bridges is a noted classical pianist whose film and television credits include “Forget Me Not,” “The Longshots” and “The Comeback.”

The executive producer is Alan Sacks (”Welcome Back, Kotter,” “The Color of Friendship”). The producer is Kevin Lafferty (”Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie,” “Jump In!”).

That’s the message Miley Cyrus posted on her official Twitter page back in June. The background of her Twitter page features a great shot of the mid-60’s era Beatles, who are legitimate musical geniuses. But Rob Thomas?

The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter and Matchbox 20 frontman wrote back:

@mileycyrus hey sista. got a thousand messages saying how many nice things you’ve been saying about me. we’ll have to find time to write.

Now the teen music queen and the man who wrote “Smooth” are teaming to collaborate on a song for Miley’s upcoming film The Last Song, about a girl and her estranged father who reconnect over music.

According to The Daily News, Cyrus was able to realize her dream of working with her idol when director Adam Shankman approached Thomas on her behalf.

“My buddy Adam Shankman, who just directed Miley’s movie, called me on the phone the other day and was like, ‘You have to write a song for this movie,’” says Thomas. “It was so funny.”

Taylor Swift is one of the hottest artists in country music. With her first headlining tour Fearless 2009 selling out everywhere she plays, she continually makes new fans at every stop. In 2009, she takes her tour to U.S. cities, Canada and the United Kingdom.

The young star recently was a big winner at the CMT Music Awards, taking home the top honor of Video of the Year, as well as Female Video of the Year, both for her video for "Love Story." She also picked up the ACM Album of the Year award back in April, being the youngest person to ever win in that category, and was featured on the cover of Glamour Magazine, where she dished about the ups and downs of dating, her early career failures, and growing up on a Christmas tree farm.

Terrific Teen Tour Canceled

Mitchel Musso, Debby Ryan and Jasmine Richards won’t be coming to a city near you on the 2009 Terrific Teen Tour.

Debby, 16, posted on her Twitter this afternoon, saying, “I’m very sad to tell you guys the Terrific Teen Tour is postponed! ): i’m so sorry for everyone who was looking forward to it, we were too. But! If you DEMAND us/me in your city, it could get rescheduled to come to your state!!”

Musicians Savannah Outen and Tiffany Giardina were also scheduled to perform.

However, Mitchel will still be touring the country with older bro’s band Metro Station and on the Disney Summer At Sea Cruise.

Taylor Swift On Glamour: Cover Story

Life couldn’t be better for country cutie Taylor Swift. The 19-year-old singing sensation recently won Album of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards (the youngest person to ever do so), and she can boast that she outsold the likes of Britney, Lil Wayne and Coldplay last year. And now, Taylor is embarking on a 52-city tour with opening act and BFF Kellie Pickler. The girl who grew up on a Christmas tree farm opened up to Glamour about naming names, early career failures, and the perils of dating.

Anyone who’s grooved to tracks like “Forever & Always” knows Taylor isn’t shy about telling it like it is, even if it’s at the expense of a certain Jonas brother. Don’t expect the singer to clam up now that she’s a bona fide celebrity. “I’ve never felt like I needed to tone down being seen as a regular person,” Taylor said. “When I first started doing MySpace, I wrote my bio in the first person. I didn’t want my MySpace page to look like a publicity promo site, so I was the one doing all the commenting, and I was the one putting up pictures and videos. And I’ve approached my whole career like that — I don’t see that ever changing.”

Though it seems Taylor struck success virtually overnight, there were a few bumps on her road to stardom. “I had a record deal that didn’t work out, and it was devastating to me, she told the mag. “When I was 13, I got a meeting with RCA Records, and they said they wanted to sign me to a development deal. [After a year] they decided to shelf me, and I had a choice to make. I could have stayed in development with them, but I figured that if they didn’t believe in me then, they weren’t ever going to believe in me. So I made a tough decision and struck out on my own.”

With a chock-a-block schedule of touring, interviews and meet and greets, the singer’s dating life is, shall we say, unconventional. “It’s always going to be long-distance, even if I date the boy who lives next door to me in Nashville. I’ll be flying to see him and flying him places to see me. It feels like it would involve more scheduling, and I already deal with a lot of scheduling in my life. Of course, if I met somebody who was worth it, I would probably stop thinking that way!”

Cody Linley Returns to Hannah Montana

This weekend, Cody Linley is excited to return to the DC series that made him a household name, Hannah Montana.

In a special one-hour episode, “He Could Be The One,” Miley repeatedly tries but fails to gently tell Robby (Billy Ray Cyrus) that she’s dating Jake Ryan (Linley) again. Soon, her dad winds up believing she’s trying to hide something from him. Now, to make Robby thankful for Jake, Miley pretends to date his bad boy band mate Jesse (Drew Roy) but gets in over her head so it’s up to Robby to help her listen to her heart.

Earlier this week, JustJaredJr.com caught up with Cody, 19, to chat about the special episode, his summer plans and his budding music career. Check it:

On writing new music: “I’ve written over 50 solid songs, and right now I’m just in the process of narrowing them down and deciding what I want to release. I take being an artist seriously, and I don’t want to release anything prematurely. I’m still doing the Ro and Co show with my friend Roshon [Fegan]. We haven’t released anything lately but yes, music is a huge part of my life. Songs that I’ve written all over the world this year will definitely be coming out, and I want to produce it with some of my close friends like Aaron Carter and some other producers. I’m just really trying to find a way to do it independently because I want to bring my true funk sound, and that would be a kind of acoustic soul mixed with funk.”

On Jake Ryan’s alter ego, Meelosh: “The character Meelosh was actually created by me. I went up to the writers room and they asked me if I could do any special accents, and it was right around the time Borat was coming out. But I had been watching The Ali G Show and (Borat impression) ‘They talk like this’ and they really liked it. That’s where I did a little improv. I don’t remember any specific lines I made up, but if you go back and watch Season 2 with the ice cream shop scenes with Miley where she’s putting ice cream in my mouth, I just started saying this random stuff. Oh my lord, it was so cold, I just started rambling. I guess Meelosh was Jake Ryan’s attempt at hiding, he’s kind of like Lola for Emily Osment’s character. He dyed his hair black and wore goofy clothes just to disguise himself.”

On his summer plans: “I’m actually going to Aruba on for the 4th of July, and then I’ll be going on a Disney cruise from the 10th to the 14th. Then I’ll be back in Los Angeles on the 15th. I’ve had an awesome year being able to travel and go on vacations throughout the year. I went down to Monterrey, Mexico about two months ago when swine flu went down and that was crazy because I was on the plane when everyone was wearing masks and I was afraid I wasn’t going to get back into America for a second.”

Swift tells America's Glamour magazine, “I’ve never been fascinated by the party lifestyle. Penciling in a night to get wasted is not something I want to do.

“I don’t think I’d be a party girl (even if I were) in college. When I was in high school, I remember seeing girls crying in the bathroom every Monday about what they did at a party that weekend. I never wanted to be that girl crying in the bathroom.”

Demi Lovato: It Was 'Great' To Work With 'Best Friend' Selena Gomez

Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez's real-life friendship really translates to the small screen. Their movie, "Princess Protection Program," became the third-highest rated movie to debut on the Disney Channel. And, with the DVD of the film being released on Tuesday (June 30), fans can enjoy their onscreen BFF chemistry anytime they want.

Demi explained to MTV News just what their off-screen BFF chemistry is like, saying that opposites attract. "I definitely say what is on my mind, like, right then and there if I have a problem with something."

She went on to explain that in on the rare occasions that they do fight with each other, the girls have very different arguing techniques. "I'll be like, 'Dude, not cool.' And she'll totally take it and be like, 'OK, I'm sorry,' " Lovato offered. "And when we argue, I'm always the one that's like, 'Yo, what's up?' and she's just like, [very calmly] 'You know Demi, I just don't really agree with this.' I'm the one with the attitude. She totally takes it, though."

But most of the time the girls get along quite well and during the making of the "Princess Protection Program," the pair had a lot of time to really bond. "Working with Selena on the movie, it was a ton of fun ... we got to shoot together every day," she said. "We shot in Puerto Rico, so we'd go to the beach on the weekends and it was such a great experience."

And for fans of the teen queens who wonder what friendship is like for them, Demi explains that it's really no different than their fans' relationships. "It's just, like, friendship ... it's great 'cause she's one of my best friends," she said. "We're, like, normal girls."

So what do two normal, famous girls do when they're not making movies together? Play video games, obviously. "We play video games or we will write songs. We'll hang out, just play dress-up and just [watch] scary movies," she said. What's their favorite video game? "Grand Theft Auto. She got me into when we were, like, 8. It was so much fun."

Twilight Eclipse Begins

Demi Lovato is most excited when chatting about her new album, which she says is “more relaxed and more mature,” with a more “soulful edge” than her gold-selling pop-rock debut, “Don’t Forget.” This time around, the songs are more personal, inspired by “pretty much just heartbreak.” Take the midtempo “World of Chances,” which she cowrote with John Mayer, in which Lovato sings, “You’ve got a face for a smile, you know/A shame you waste it when you’re breaking me slowly/But I’ve got a world of chances for you…/Chances that you’re burning through.” This isn’t schoolyard stuff. “I had fallen in love and then my heart got broken. I had never fallen in love before, so that was interesting,” she says.

Intriguingly, Lovato, who plays guitar and piano, even penned a track about her estranged father (she was raised from an early age by her mom and stepdad, Eddie De La Garza). It was originally planned for this album; however, Lovato and her advisers chose to hold it and several other more “emotional” songs for the time being. “When I took a step back,” she says, “I realized I wouldn’t like those subjects being talked about in somebody else’s home, with a seven-year-old and their mom.”

Indeed, Lovato is a teenager coming into her own on a network that targets from out of the crib; she’s expected to embody youthful exuberance and, at the same time, make well-thought-out decisions on an international stage and adhere to an exhausting schedule, always acting the consummate professional. Which could be why she wouldn’t mind skipping over the whole adolescence thing. “I wish I was older a lot of the time,” says Lovato, who hopes to attend Boston’s Berklee College of Music one day. “Because I feel like an adult and I’m working like an adult, but then I wake up and I’m 16 and it’s weird.”

Kevin Jonas Gets Engaged!

Kevin Jonas surprised his girlfriend Danielle Deleasa by showing up at her doorstep in New Jersey early Wednesday morning and dropping down to his knee to ask her to marry him. Presented with a cushion-cut diamond ring that Jonas designed with Jacob & Co., Deleasa couldn't believe what was happening.

Then, "She said yes, yes, yes like 500 times super fast in a row," the oldest of the Jonas Brothers tells PEOPLE exclusively.

Jonas, 21, and Deleasa, 22, who met in May of 2007 while vacationing with their families in the Bahamas, haven't set a wedding date yet. "It still feels like a dream."

When Deleasa, a former hairdresser, first met Jonas two years ago, she admits, "I didn't know who the Jonas Brothers were." It was Kevin who eagerly pursued her after meeting her and then spotting her walking on the beach with a flower in her hair.

Jonas popped the question after arriving in New Jersey on an overnight flight from a concert in Vancouver. "It was tough performing last night, knowing that I was going to ask the biggest question in my life to the most amazing girl in the world," he says.

And while the news is bound to break a lot of young girls' hearts, the Jonas family couldn't be happier.

"Our hearts are filled with joy today and we are happy to share with you that our son Kevin has asked Danielle for her hand in marriage," parents Denise and Kevin Jonas Sr. say in a statement to PEOPLE. "Her answer was yes, and it is such a blessing that she will be joining our family. Kevin and Danielle have not yet set a date. Family is very dear to us, and we hope we have raised Kevin to be a wonderful man and husband. Please join us in our family's celebration and in congratulating Kevin and Danielle. Thank you for all of your support."

And younger brothers Joe and Nick said on their Twitter page: "Congrats big brother.....Dani welcome to the family, we can't wait to have you join us on the road!"

Mitchel Musso Wanted to be Just Like Mason

The 17-year-old actor/singer recently dished to U Rock 2 that he wanted to be just like Mason. He shared, “He wanted to play piano, so I wanted to play piano. He was in a musical, so I wanted to be in a musical. Everything he did, I wanted to do.”

Mitchel also revealed that he has a lucky charm when he performs on stage. “I have to have a bracelet on at all times. I always try to incorporate a bandana into my wardrobe,” he said.

Taylor Swift and T-Pain Recording 'Thug Story' in Studio

A clip showing Taylor Swift and T-Pain's recording session for "Thug Story" has been found. It begins with Taylor rapping behind the mic while T-Pain is on the couch watching the session. It then moves on to capture T-Pain who wears a casual yellow t-shirt taking over the recording booth to sing his verses.

Taylor Swift and T-Pain's collaborative track was played for the first time at 2009 CMT Music Awards at Sommet Centere on June 16. It was showcased through a video specially filmed in Nashville, Tennessee for the annual event.

Beside hooking up with T-Pain on "Thug Story", Taylor Swift also joined forces with rock band Def Leppard, delivering a song titled "Pour Some Sugar On Me" at the awards. During one of her acceptance speeches when collecting her two trophies, she said, "I want to thank CMT for letting me live so many of my dreams this year. I got to sing with my heroes. Def Leppard, I love you guys so much."

Jonas Brothers Talk About Outgrowing Teen Pop in New Rolling Stone

Donning a leather cap, Joe Jonas stands front and center as he and his brothers, Nick and Kevin cover Rolling Stone magazine.

This will mark the second time the JoBros have covered the music magazine.

If the Jonas Brothers‘ first moment on the cover of Rolling Stone found them reaching the height of teen pop stardom, their latest — on stands this week — finds them pushing for an even loftier goal: musical credibility.

“I think we are working to make that trade without having to give anything up,” Kevin Jonas tells Rolling Stone in our cover story. (Check out photos from their Rolling Stone cover shoot here.) “But I think it will take time, because of where we came from. I would honestly say to anybody, if you were in a band like us, you would take advantage of those platforms too. It’s easy for people to say, ‘No, I’m a real rock & roller,’ but I think you do what you’ve got to do.”

Our Jenny Eliscu spent time with the brothers in Los Angeles as they prepared to hit the road in support of their most ambitious album yet, Lines, Vines and Trying Times. The album, the tour and much of what the band does these days seems designed to help facilitate the leap from teen pop to contemporary rock. It’s a challenging feat that few have pulled off. (Check out our look at artists who managed to outgrow their pop roots.) But the brothers are working hard on what they know will be a long, slow march to credibility. Eliscu found Nick on point as the band’s creative lead, putting their touring band through their paces (his brothers have started calling him “Mr. President”), while Kevin helps to steer the Jonas business and image (he even built a foam 3-D scale model of the band’s new stage set, which now takes 180 people to assemble at each show).

“We have an operation around us that we run,” Kevin tells Rolling Stone. “It’s not run for us, or dictated to us. Everything that we do, we sign off on.”

But even with a strong operation and a lot of hard work, the band knows that teen idols rarely make the leap to “serious artist.” “Personally, I’m not in the band to say, ‘Hey, you need to respect us, take us seriously,’ because that’s kind of stupid,” Joe tells RS. “We’re doing it because we love it, and we don’t care what age group we attract. If they like our music, they like our music, and if they don’t, fine. We don’t need you like our music.”

Following appearances during the recent CMA Music Festival and last week's CMT Music Awards in Nashville, Taylor Swift returns to the road to headline Wednesday night's (June 24) concert at the Country USA festival in Oshkosh, Wis.

After "Love Story" was named female video of the year and overall video of the year at the CMT Awards, Swift stopped backstage to talk to CMT Insider's Katie Cook about two of her musical heroes and how her teenaged brother, Austin, reacts to her success. Swift also explains why she was temporarily placed on voice rest immediately following the music festival.

CMT Insider: I've got to ask you about your acceptance speech because it was so neat. I wasn't expecting it. ... You thanked Garth and Shania.

Swift:: For me, those are the people that I looked to, and those are the reasons why I fell in love with country music. ... I'm always trying to think of reasons for all this happening to me because I can't justify it. It's just been unbelievable. The fans are a huge reason, but also going back to my inspiration and the reason why I wanted to do this -- Shania and Garth. They're just unbelievable artists. And they weren't here tonight, but I wanted to shout out to them anyway.

And you gave a shout-out to your brother. He was your date for the awards show. Did he behave?

He was a really, really good person to go with, and he was really excited. My brother doesn't really care about any of this. He doesn't believe any of the hype. He's like "ugh." ... This is him, in my awards show experience: I'll call him on the way home, "Austin, I won an award!" And he's like, "Where are you?" "I'm on my way back from the CMT's." ... And he'll be like, "Uh, what did you win?"

So does he get it now? He was here.

And he was so excited. He was so into it tonight. He was really nervous.

Were you having trouble with your voice? You lost your voice a couple of times right?

Yeah, it came back. I signed for six hours on the same day [at the CMA Music Festival] and I was performing at the stadium that night, and that was after a five-show run. ... I went to the doctor, and they were, like, "There's no problem. There's no damage or anything. You just want to rest it." And I'm, like, "I'll do that." ... So I was walking around with a sign that said vocal rest, and then I drew a cartoon of me and had an "X" drawn over my mouth. And at the bottom of it, it said, "Have a nice day."

She's only 16. Yet Selena Gomez sounds more seasoned and pragmatic than some actresses three times her age.

"It's smart to have a backup plan. I'd love to go to culinary school. I find cooking very therapeutic. I have zero time to ever do it, but once I have a house of my own, one day, I'll have time to do that," she says.

Ask the Texas native, who has been working in the entertainment world for nine years, about the difficulties inherent in transitioning from a dewy, adorable Disney Channel teen queen to a respected actress with a more mature audience, and she remains unfazed. She fluidly discusses the challenges of "developing movie projects and finding character roles," especially for girls her age. "I have an audience. The audience I have now, I want them to grow with me. I want to make a transition," she says. "I want to learn and grow."

The Los Angeles-based teen remains ferociously proud of her roots, refusing to get a California driver's license and opting to wait until she gets one from the Lone Star State. And like any young girl, she's boy-crazy. Gomez takes a quick break from discussing her professional aspirations to lovingly berate her cousin, who sits across from her eating breakfast, about contacting a guy. "You didn't text him, did you? Do not text!" Gomez says. "Do I ever take my own advice? No. I need to!"

She gets to engage in her girly side in the Disney Channel's movie Princess Protection Program, premiering Friday (8 p.m. ET/PT). It stars Gomez and her real-life best friend, Demi Lovato.

"It's about a young princess, played by Demi. Her country is threatened. My father rescues her and she comes to live with us. I'm more of a tomboy character not comfortable in her skin," Gomez says. "It's a good, strong friendship movie. A lot of girls look up to Demi and my friendship because we've known each other since we were 7. And I think it's wonderful."

The two first met in line for a Barney & Friends audition in Texas. "She turned around and asked me to color with her, and that's where everything began," Gomez says.

Working with her closest buddy, Gomez, says, "is like going to lunch with your best friend but with the cameras watching. It didn't feel like work."

She says the two are "not competitive. We've been through so much together. I remember going to concerts of hers when only a few people would show, at fairs. We don't have room for that. We're so blessed."

Gomez wasn't always so focused. As a child, she says, she was a "flake" and "very shy," vacillating between wanting to become a doctor or a cheerleader. When she angled to try acting, she became "addicted" to it. She sent an audition tape to Disney and got guest-starring turns on Hannah Montana and The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.

In addition to Princess, Gomez also stars on the Disney Channel's Wizards of Waverly Place, in which she plays a teen with magical abilities. "This will be my last series, for a while," she predicts.

Gomez's schedule rivals that of a Wall Street executive. She goes to school for five hours on set, rehearses her show for about three hours, and goes to the recording studio to work on her as-yet-untitled record in her free time. "The record is going to be pop-rock with a bit of dance to it. The music is fun, and it's something I've always wanted to try," says Gomez, whose CD is slated for a fall release. "I would not be happy if I was doing nothing."

One thing she's not doing: dating Twilight actor Taylor Lautner. "I'm single. I've never dated him. He's a really nice guy. He's become one of my really good friends, and he's made me the happiest I've ever been.

"I've been through a lot and I've cut those people out of my life," she says, obliquely referring to people in her inner circle who were less than kind to her but not elaborating any further. "I've been very mistreated. I'm just really careful who I surround myself with."

According to one eyewitness at the eatery: "It was surprising to see Hugh Jackman having a meal with Miley Cyrus. It wasn't romantic. They had a few producer-type people with them. It looked like a business dinner. I can only guess what it could be. I'm sure it wasn't just Hugh angling for a guest role on Hannah Montana.

If the rumors pan out, one can only speculate as to what Miley's special mutant powers will be.

If anything, at least Halle Berry's character Storm will now have some stiff competition for best hair in the X-Men franchise.

Almost immediately after news broke that Miley Cyrus had split from boyfriend Justin Gaston, speculation arose that she and her ex, Nick Jonas, have rekindled their romance. And the teens haven't done too much to discourage the rumors: On Thursday, photos of Miley and Nick jet-skiing in Georgia emerged.

So, are Miley and Nick back together? Well, when Miley spoke to radio station 107.5 The River in Tennessee, it seemed like the answer was a definite "kind of."

"He's my best friend, and we still hang out all the time, and we've definitely reconnected," she said when asked if it's weird to work with her ex. "And we don't know what's going to happen in the future, but right now we're just kicking it and hanging out as much as we can."

The pair started to ignite rumors when they were seen at lunch together a few months back. Miley further explained that the two have managed to put any old problems aside to focus on the future.

"We both just kind of saw each other again and kind of decided this whole thing was stupid and ... we all were over the separation," she said. "And our families are super happy that we're hanging out again."

When MTV News caught up with Nick Jonas earlier this week, he explained a bit about how Cyrus ended up on their new album.

"I think ['Before the Storm' is] probably one of my favorite songs, because it has a great story to it. It's a duet with Miley, which is great." The song didn't originally include Miley until Nick saw it as the perfect opportunity to record with his ex and to share their tale of young love with their fans. "It's a good thing that happened, and it'll be a good one to play live."

Like a wad of watermelon bubblegum caked on the bottom of your shoe, Disney's dazzling 1080p/AVC-encoded transfer will leave a lasting mark on your retinas. From blazing blues to simmering magentas, the Jonas Brothers and their screaming fans are continually bathed in vivid stage lights and striking spots. Artifacting and crush hinder the image from time to time, but more often than not, the picture remains clean and stable regardless of what the boys throw its way. Whites are crisp, blacks are deep, and dimensionality is astounding. Sure, slightly soft shots occasionally mar the proceedings -- as does the inconsistent quality of the backstage footage sprinkled throughout the performance -- but any resultant shortcomings should be attributed to the shoot itself rather than the technical transfer. As it stands, overall detail is refined and revealing, textures pop, and edges are quite natural. I didn't encounter any noise reduction or unsightly post-production nonsense, any significant banding or aliasing, or any other major distractions. The very nature of the production leads to some uneven visuals, but it doesn't detract from the positive aspects of the presentation.

All things considered, The Blu-ray edition of The Jonas Brothers: 3-D Concert Experience won't give fans or critics much to complain about (at least from an AV perspective). Whether you select the 2D or 3D version of the concert, Disney's BD-50 disc offers a solid, at-times gorgeous transfer that thoroughly trounces its standard DVD counterpart.

The Jonas Brothers: 3-D Concert Experience arrives on Blu-ray with a commanding DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 surround track hampered only by the erratic sonics that inevitably accompany the concert's multi-sourced backstage footage. Anytime the cameras focuses on the stage show, the boys' lyrics, guitar riffs, pulsing drum beats, and piano melodies sound absolutely fantastic. Fidelity is pitch-perfect, LFE support is powerful and resonant, and aggressive rear speaker activity inserts the raging crowd directly into the track's thoroughly convincing soundfield. There's so much going on at any given moment that the concert could have easily become a garish assault on the senses, overwhelming anyone unfortunate enough to step in front of a speaker. To its credit though, masterful prioritization and deft directionality ensure that every strummed string, weighty downbeat, and crystal clear high note fall precisely into place.

And the aforementioned backstage footage? It certainly doesn't sound bad -- on the contrary, it bests the audio quality of most Blu-ray documentaries -- but unavoidable air hiss, pinched voices, unwieldy crowd noise, intermittent distortion, and minor anomalies hold it back from greatness. Still, it's tough to complain about such inherent issues when the rest of the track packs such a hefty punch. Fans can breath a sigh of relief: Disney has produced an excellent lossless track for the Jonas Brothers' Blu-ray debut.

The 3-disc Blu-ray edition of The Jonas Brothers: 3-D Concert Experience offers both 2D and 3D versions of the performance, four pairs of 3D glasses, an extended 89-minute cut of the movie itself (with two additional songs: "Can't Have You" and "A Little Bit Longer"), two bonus songs from the cutting room floor (HD, 8 minutes), and Up Close and Personal (HD, 15 minutes), a semi-decent behind-the-scenes featurette that gives the Jonas boys a chance to reflect on their tour, careers, and fame. A 2D edition DVD and a standard definition DisneyFile digital copy disc are included as well.

Nickelback took home the most hardware, but provocative electro diva Lady Gaga was the talk of the MuchMusic Video Awards on Sunday.

Just a few months after dominating at the Juno Awards, Nickelback nabbed a leading three trophies in front of thousands of frenzied fans at an award show that also featured appearances from the Jonas Brothers, Black Eyed Peas and such teen-approved celebs as "Twilight" actors Taylor Lautner and Montreal's Rachelle Lefevre.

But it was Gaga who stole the show.

Showing some serious imagination - even while clad in a studded one-piece that left little to it - Gaga performed a surreal medley of a remixed version of "LoveGame" and "Poker Face" during the indoor-outdoor streetside show.

Billed as a tribute to New York, Gaga began the performance trapped inside a fake subway car - which she later exploded with a stick of pyro dynamite - and followed with a raunchy setpiece that featured fake police officers (they later stripped), gyrating, leather-clad dancers and finished with Gaga posing with sparklers shooting from her bustier.

While the screeching throng outside MuchMusic headquarters on Queen Street West was clearly agog for Gaga, they also heaped plenty of love on the Jonas Brothers, who co-hosted, performed twice and won the "UR Fave" people's choice award for international video of the year for "Burnin' Up."

Fans began lining up for the show as early as 6 a.m. ET on a hot, sticky Toronto day. By mid-afternoon, an imposing queue of determined teens went all the way around the block.

"This is crazy," marvelled reigning "Canadian Idol" champ Theo Tams as he walked the red carpet. "I thought the Junos were crazy but this is madness!"

There were some typically over-the-top entrances.

Toronto R&B crooner Danny Fernandes cruised onto the red carpet on a shiny red motorcycle, while Vancouver pop-punk band Marianas Trench was preceded by a full marching band before arriving in a pickup truck adorned with pink and red balloons and streamers.

And while many guests honoured Father's Day by giving thanks to their dads, Billy Talent took it a step further by bringing their fathers onto the red carpet.

"All the dads are here, we were trying to dress them up just like us today," said drummer Aaron Solowoniuk, whose band took home the award for best international video for a Canadian group for "Rusted from the Rain." "We're making it into a family event."

Otherwise, the usually splashy show mostly lacked a signature shocking moment - in other words, no one mooned the camera Avril Lavigne-style or zipped around on a stolen wheelchair a la Blur's Damon Albarn.

In fact, Nickelback didn't even flinch when they were presented with their first award moments after exiting a mammoth black SUV and stepping onto the red carpet.

"Just for showing up?" asked frontman Chad Kroeger, whose Hanna, Alta., band took home awards for best video, best rock video and best post-production for "Gotta Be Somebody."

"This is great, I've never gotten out of a vehicle and had someone say: 'Here you go."'

The Black Eyed Peas didn't go home empty-handed either, winning for their ubiquitous electro-inflected anthem "Boom Boom Pow," which they also performed.

Surrounded by dancers in skintight zebra-print costumes, the veteran group incited the crowd into a rousing singalong of the infectious chorus, while Kelly Clarkson's powerful, no-frills performance of "My Life Would Suck Without You" stood as a reminder of why she was the first-ever winner of "American Idol."

Regina pop-punk singer Shiloh started her performance in a red telephone booth, while St. Catharines, Ont., hardcore group Alexisonfire closed their performance by launching bright pyro into the crisp night sky.

In addition to her eye-popping performance, Gaga also captured the audience's attention with a candid speech after accepting an award early on for best international video by an artist for her provocative hit, "Poker Face."

"You guys make it so hard to love anywhere else," the eccentric 23-year-old said before hoisting the trophy in the air and saying: "To God and the gays!"

Appearances from Lautner induced the expected feverish shrieks - one fan wore a homemade cardboard hat with Lautner's picture and a plea for an autograph - while Washington Capitals star Alexander Ovechkin provided a surprising moment when asked how he would celebrate winning a MuchMusic award, he effortlessly hoisted VJ Tim Deegan over his shoulder.

Meanwhile, Fernandes - who, like Nickelback, entered the show armed with five nominations - took away one award, winning pop video of the year for "Private Dancer."

Alt-rockers the Midway State won two, taking the "UR Fave" new artist of the year and best independent video for "Never Again."

Montreal pop-punkers Simple Plan won the "UR Fave" best video award for "Save You," Enfield, N.S., rapper Classified won the hip-hop video category for his single, "Anybody Listening," which he also performed on the side stage and L.A. dance-pop quartet Girlicious won the MuchMusic.com most-watched video award for "Like Me."

In the technical categories, Vancouver pop-punk band Marianas Trench received the best director award for "Cross My Heart," while Toronto-based ska group Bedouin Soundclash won for best cinematography for "Until We Burn Into the Sun (The Kids Just Want a Long Song)."

Selena and Demi Crash a Prom

After the red carpet at the premiere of their Disney Channel Original Movie “Princess Protection Program” stars Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato snuck out of the movie screening to check out a prom! The girls weren’t planning on crashing the prom, but while Selena was walking around Toronto she came across the party and asked the security guard if she could go in for a few minutes. And who would say no to Selena???

Selena ran back to tell Demi and the other girls who went to the premiere of PPP with them and they all headed over to the prom. Demi and Selena surprised the prom-goers and even spent time out on the dance floor with them!

Unfortunately the girls were asked to leave around 11 PM because they were not students of the school holding the prom. But they were still psyched to have been able to spend time at a prom! Selena will also be attending her cousins prom soon, so she has that to look forward to!

Another tweet confirmed that Miley in indeed in Arlington, Texas. “Ohhhmyygaawwddd, Miley frreakin Cyrus is here! In the great debate over whether Miley Cyrus' brother Trace Cyrus is dating Sonny With a Chance star Demi Lovato, Mitchel Musso has finally weighed in!

And the Hannah Montana actor's verdict is...undecided. But if they are an item, he says, it would be "weird."

Musso—who's touring with Trace's band Metro Station this summer—tells M Magazine, "Demi and Trace dating? It's funny because I know them both really well, but I haven't heard that yet. Maybe, that would kind of make sense, I guess that would make sense. I know just as much as you do, I don't really look into it too much."

As to whether it would be a good thing for the two to date, Musso is hesitant to offer an endorsement.

"I don't know, I don't really have anything to comment, the ages are always weird," Musso hedges. "When someone's over 18 and the other person's under 18 [Trace is 20, while Lovato is 16], especially if the girl is under 18....Miley and Justin. It's just like nothing bad to say about it but it's kind of weird but whatever."

A week shy of its premiere on Disney Channel, "Princess Protection Program" (PPP) hit Toronto, Canada for a red carpet event. Held at Queen Elizabeth Theater on Thursday, June 18, the celebration saw the main stars Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez doing some photo sessions and interviews.

Demi and Selena hugged each other as they arrived at the venue. Demi was wearing a two-toned mini dress from Alexander Wang while Selena donned a white one-shoulder from Tadashi Shoji. Coming to the event as well was Demi's half-sister Madison De La Garza who is also known as Eva Longoria's on-screen daughter on "Desperate Housewives".

Apart from posing for the photographers, Demi and Selena also stopped to have a chat with Family Channel. When asked what was the craziest thing that happened on the set of "PPP", Demi mentioned the yogurt scene where her character could not control the overflowing machines. Demi also spilled a secret that she forgot some lines when working on "One and the Same" music video until Selena reminded her.

Meanwhile, Selena told the same reporters, "We have been dreaming to do a song together since we were 9 and to be able to actually do it is kind of crazy."

In "Princess Protection Program", Demi Lovato stars as Princess Rosalina who is threatened by an evil dictator bent on taking control of her country. Sent to a special protection program, she is disguised as an ordinary town girl with the help of tomboy Carter (Selena Gomez).

Robert Pattinson was involved in a minor car accident in New York yesterday after apparently being chased by fans.
Reports say the Twilight star had to flee hysterical girls when he was clipped on the hip by a taxi in the street. It’s thought he was unhurt.

It’s claimed one of his FIVE bodyguards said to the over-excited fans: “You see what you did, you almost killed him,” after the incident on Thursday afternoon (June 18).

Pattinson has been in the Big Apple filming a drama Remember Me and has already had to escape crazed followers.

On Monday the British actor was mobbed whilst on set and had to be rescued by security.

The Wizards of Waverly Place sweetheart Selena Gomez says she's leaving the small screen behind when the season wraps — to go to college, and Hollywood.

She tells the NY Post,"I think this'll be the last series that I do. I'm going to try to pull a Natalie Portman," adding that her dream school is Northwestern University.

Now the good news: Gomez goes on to make it clear that she'd like to pursue her education while trying to film movies! "Natalie went to Harvard while shooting Star Wars. I don't know how she did it. I want to have lunch with her and ask her—that seems like a bunch of stress right there," Selena admits.

What will her fans do? Don't worry, she doesn't want to alienate you!

"I'm going to make that transition slowly," Gomez says. "I'm not going to immediately go do something that's way off the charts, because my goal is to keep my audience and have them grow with me."

Selena Gomez will start filming the third season of "Wizards" in August and will release a debut album in fall. Besides, she has two TV movies coming out this summer, "Princess Protection Program" and "Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie". "I don't really like to rest too much," the starlet said. "...I do constantly like to work. I believe that it keeps me going and makes me happy."

On the popular Disney Channel Original Series “Hannah Montana,” Mitchel Musso’s character is dating his co-star Emily Osments character, but in real life Mitchel has another girl who’s holding onto his heart.

Mitchel recently told Seventeen Magazine that he has been dating actress Gia Mantegna for a couple months, saying, “We’ve been dating about two months. We go out with friends, or when it’s just us, we watch movies and eat sushi. It’s the first actual relationship I’ve ever had. We’re together 24/7 attached at the hip, and I love it. Whenever a ton of boys are around, she gets closer to me. A lot of times, a girl will go around and socialize, but Gia makes sure that everyone knows we’re together. It’s very comforting – I feel like it’s my safe zone, like nothing bad is going to happen. And she’s really close to her family, which is great.” Awwww, how sweet is that???

Joe Jonas Gets Back at Taylor Swift

19-year-old Jonas made headlines last year when ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift told Ellen DeGeneres, “I’m not even going to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 25 seconds when I was 18.” Swift, now 19, dedicated the biting song “Forever & Always” on her 2008 album “Fearless” to Jonas.

It seems Jonas is now seeking revenge for the bad publicity. Track 8 off of “Lines, Vines and Trying Times” makes reference to the Taylor Swift song “Teardrops On My Guitar”: “I got a rep for breakin’ hearts/Now I’m done with superstars/And all the tears on her guitar/I’m not bitter.”

When MTV News asked Jonas whether the song was about Swift, he remained tight-lipped, saying, “We went through a lot in the past year-and-a-half, all of us. And you’re just going to have to get the record and figure it out for yourself.”

The new Jonas Brothers album also features another Jonas ex – Nick Jonas and Miley Cyrus patched things up long enough to record “Before the Storm”, a song presumably about their own breakup in 2007.

The Jonas Brothers begin their 53-date summer tour in Dallas on Saturday, following Friday's free Toyota Concert Series show on the Today Show.

Miley Cyrus Singing A New Song In Georgia

Miley Cyrus gave some local diners a great surprise in Savannah, Georgia on 15th of June when she decided to get up on stage at a local restaurant called Sting Rays on Tybee Island.

She sang a new song that she had written down on a piece of paper she pulled out of her pocket. The song was about a break up and the locals said she did a great job singing and playing the guitar with a local musician named Jason Courtney.

Greg Kinnear and Kelly Preston have joined the cast of Disney's "The Last Song," the adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks novel that stars Miley Cyrus.

Kinnear and Preston will play the parents of Cyrus' character, a rebellious teen sent to spend the summer with her estranged father. He tries to reconnect with her through the one thing they have in common: music.

Julie Anne Robinson is currently shooting the pic, which bows Jan. 8 under the Touchstone Pictures label.

Sparks is penning the script based on his own book, which he wrote specifically to turn into a star vehicle for the "Hannah Montana" star. Book will be published this fall.

Disney-based partners Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot are producing the drama through their Offspring Entertainment banner. Tish Cyrus is exec produces.

Kinnear most recently appeared in "Flash of Genius" and completed the Paul Greengrass-helmed drama "Green Zone" for Universal. Preston co-stars in Disney's "Old Dogs," alongside John Travolta and Robin Williams. Latter pic goes out in November.

Selena Gomez Thinks True Friends Shouldn't Judge Each Other

Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato are BFFs in real life — but in their upcoming Disney Channel movie "Princess Protection Program," they don't start out that way.

Gomez plays a tomboy whose family takes in Lovato's princess after a dictator invades her country. Gomez, who turns 17 this summer along with Lovato, says they bicker at first but eventually "realize that they complement each other."

Gomez says they fit their roles, since Lovato is more princessy.

While filming in Puerto Rico, Gomez says Disney tried to separate the duo at night by putting them in different buildings.

"They knew we would never get any work done because we'd spend the night and we'd stay up late and talk," she explains. "That didn't work — I ended up living in her room half the time."

"Princess Protection Program" airs June 26.

Gomez — who ordered room service, watched movies and hit the beach with her best pal — thinks true friends shouldn't judge each other.

"You should be there for someone, and I think you should be honest with someone," she says. "I don't think it's healthy to go around gossiping and telling other people (things). I think it's nice to just sit down with someone and tell them how you feel and get it off your chest."

Gomez, who has been romantically linked to teen heartthrobs Nick Jonas and Taylor Lautner, says she is proudly single and not looking for a boyfriend. She's got enough on her plate: Gomez will soon film the third season of her Disney series "Wizards of Waverly Place," and her debut pop-rock album is scheduled to be released in September.

Asked what she looks for in guy, she says: "Shia LaBeouf can call me — just kidding. ... I like for someone to be honest, nice, sweet and someone that my parents like."

What's Gomez's guiltiest pleasure?

"I like a lot of `Hannah Montana' songs — that's kind of a guilty pleasure because it doesn't match at all in my library of iTunes."
